I think debating can be good. You learn from everyone. There is nothing wrong with everyone's opinions. As long as there is no bashing/bullying. But does anyone enjoy it? I  notice a lot of the same people making negative comments. Or "trolling" right? Is that the word? 😰

I find that the majority of the people on this app don't debate. They belittle and shame others when they don't agree with their religious, sexual, parental, etc beliefs. And that makes it hard to enjoy msats posts.

I enjoy a good debate or discussion. There are definitely people on here who are just looking for opportunities to bash other women. I have experienced it personally several times, mostly from the same person. I usually avoid topics where my beliefs might be attacked, unless there's an opportunity to provide helpful advise.

There's a lot of mommy shaming that goes on here. I thought it would be a supportive group of women. If you say one thing that some don't agree with, they will chastise you.

I thought it was just hormones and stress that causes drama on here but I really think some of these women are just mean girls.

I think half the arguments on here are because it's hard to acuratly communicate through words. People might come up with an opinion based on facts that were left out. Also the way people read or interpret the way someone's written something, say someone was just teasing or being sarcastic and someone might take it as being a down right bitch and attack them. Some people are less articulate in trying to explain something. I'm sure that if half the women on here were able to be together in person, they would probably get along better or be able to settle differences and misunderstandings better.

I find it pointless. That's why I say my piece and don't normally engage. Although I do admit that when I see folks get so worked up about my opinion, I can't help but chuckle 😂.

No. That would cause me undue stress. I don't know any of you, what do we have to fight about?! Lol if I don't like a post I skip it. Simple. I read things and laugh about some of it but I don't ever purposely write nasty comments. In general we can come off any way since tone can't be heard in text... but it doesn't matter.

I haven't experienced this but I also make sure to stay away from certain posts, like depending on the title of a post I won't click on it. There's also a lot of hormones being thrown around. You can't get a bunch of females together in one spot and not expect controversy to happen. I've just learned to stay away.

I think 'debating respectfully' is fun. Unfortunately it seems that people leaning towards a certain side of the fence take offense to comments or beliefs that don't match their views and the other person is automatically reported. Name-calling on either side is unacceptable and Glow should take into account people who are rude to others with views on BOTH sides of the fence instead of deleting those who tend to lean more towards the right politically.
