Physical labor jobs while prego

Kaylen
Anyone else have a job that involves physical labor or is potentially physically strenuous? I'm 14 weeks. I work as a personal care assistant for a woman with a serious disability. She is an amazing person, and has become a friend, so I absolutely love my job! However, because this job requires me to lift and pull her at times (she's very petite due to her condition, but still enough weight to be cautious about), help her bathe, clean her house, help her run errands and shop, etc. I've noticed that the exhaustion is only increasing, even though I'm now in my second trimester. Also, my midwives and ob have warned that this work could potentially do harm to my abdominals and midsection, because I mostly use my core a lot of the time, and and that it could possibly harm to the baby if I'm not careful. I honestly never really thought about it because I'm so strong and my body is used to this work! My husband and I are planning for me to only work through June, because I just don't think it will be physically possible to do the movements I have to with a big belly. But now I'm worried I won't make it to that point because I'm so exhausted ALL THE TIME. I don't even think I could start an exercise routine because I'm already so physically active at work. Anyone else coping with this kind of situation or have you worked through your pregnancies before without any issues? I love my job, and I would hate to leave it early...😔
