Am I doing it wrong?

I've taken my temperature for 3 days and it seems to be going crazy. Is it normal to go up and down so much or am I doing something wrong?

I take it before I get out of bed, but I wake up at different times, like  4:45, 5:40, 6.

Do you think that's enough time difference to change my readings?

Its normal for it to jump around a bit, I find the follicular phase especially varies quite a bit day to day. The overall trend will still be obvious. I take my bbt immediately upon waking so at different times everyday. It just depends what works for you :)

Absolutely have to take it at the same time. I used to set an alarm for 6am and then go back to sleep. It's also normal for your temp to jump around but if you don't take it at the same time then you can't really look for patterns.
