Period right after conceiving?

So a girl at work freaked me out and said you get your period 2-3 days after you concieve/get pregnant. Is this true? Cause I'm concerned! My period is off! Like way off!

Wait, what? You're not suppose to get a period if you've conceived, or at least in most cases.

No that is untrue.  There is such a thing called implantation bleeding, it can look like a light period, but it generally happens early.
