How long did it take you to conceive after coming off the depo injection? Please comment also.

Depo is the absolute worst... Not only did it kill my sex drive the second round of doing it, but it's caused me to grow hair in places I never had... After learning that Depo was the drug that they give to sexual predators in prison (not jail...prison) to kill their libido, I got off it REAL quick... I have been ttc on and off over the course of 3 years... But actively ttc again since November. No luck thus far. :( it took me only 2 months to conceive my first child... This time is really hard and I honestly blame a huge part of it on the Depo. Good luck on conceiving!

My last injection ran out in May 2014 and my first period was in September 2014 and I fell pregnant that month. I think I was pretty lucky. It's very frustrating but try and be patient. I took Agnus castus tablets which are meant to speed up your periods returning to normal. I am due in June 2015 and won't be going back on the depo after reading stories and how long it's taking some people. GL xx

I was on the depo for two years. I have been off of it since 2011. I have been TTC for a little over two years and nothing. Plus my sex drive went away. Everyone I have talked to has had similar results. I now am waiting to have a hsg done and blood work. Good luck!

I've been off depo 2 yrs and 1 month. I still don't get a period but about twice a year and I've been trying since with no luck. But everyone is different! Best of luck to you!!

I dont children but it took just over a year after being on depo for year to even get a period.  I was abit worried but my doc reassured me its normal and it takes a year for it to flush out of my system. I was also told that ttc or getting pregnant within that year can be abit risky as it isnt flushed out fully and could possibly end in MC. But that only applies if uve had it longer than 6mths I think x
