Which car seat would you buy?

My sister just bought her baby a convertible car seat that fits newborns to 50 pounds. She is now thinkin that she is now going to buy a infant car seat as well. Im trying to convince her to not waste money but tell me which y'all got or want and why please.

i'm getting a convertible car seat from the very beginning this time. I plan on carrying this baby (#2) in a ring sling or baby carrier when I'm out and about this time. A baby car seat is very heavy to carry around.

The infant car seat is a lot easier to take your baby places if you need to. Because the convertible car seat most likely won't come out of the car and unless you want to hold the baby the whole time your out, you will want the infant one. I know I used mine a lot. I switched to the convertible car seat once he was able to sit in his stroller  and up in a high chair. Hope this helps.

It depends on if you are planning to use a sling with the baby. If you do then use the convertible. That way you save money in the long run.  I had both but still used the sling. I wish I would have just got the convertible car seat.

I think graco has one that goes from a newborn all the way to a booster seat.
