I need advice!

My husband and I have 3 gorgeous kids but recently suffered a miscarriage. I so badly want another child and he says he does too. I just feel like our sex life isn't what I was when we first got married even before the recent loss. I don't know how to approach him and tell him that I want more without bruising his ego or masculinity.
