Trigger or not?

Question

My scan yesterday showed a 20mm single follicle, and lining around 8. I was told to take trigger shot this evening for a Monday insemination.  I just got a positive OPK about 30 minutes ago. Called my Doc and my insemination has been changed to tomorrow. I didn't think to ask about the trigger, should I take it or not?

I'm thinking not because the trigger is supposed to be a substitute and trick your body into thinking it is an LH surge, signaling that it is time to release the egg. So since you are having a surge already, it's not necessary.
