How common is it for my HCG not to double in 48 hours?

I went to my OB for some blood work and my hcg was already 3,026 at about 5-6 wks (sun pm). They had taken my blood Tues afternoon and it had only gone up a little over 800. A know the higher it gets, the longer it takes for it to double, but I also hear many women's don't in 48 and they have perfectly normal pregnancies. What do you think?

Mine was 7000 at 6 weeks then at 7 weeks 88000 then 48 hrs later only went up 800 after 6 weeks they don't count unless they drop as placenta is attatching   
Honestly I thinking  mine is already working at 9 weeks 3rd day no morning sickness

My hcg hasn't doubled either but my midwife isn't too concerned. My first level at 5w 3 days was 9,800. 5 w5 days 16,200 & third level at 6 weeks was 27,785. I am extremely symptomatic (sore boobs and lots of nausea vomiting). I go back Tuesday for ultrasound hoping to see heartbeat. But guarded after November I had a blighted ovum and my hcg never doubled ( 409/700/1100). I think it can go either way with hcg. Honestly I think it just provokes more anxiety.
