Would you give your SO a baby if he asked?

Even if you're trying to avoid getting pregnant, would you get off BC for him?

My boyfriend has been begging me for a child but I'm only 20 and I feel way too young. My ideal age would be like 24 but he'll be 26 and he thinks that's "too old to be a dad"

I had an unplanned pregnancy when I was married and let my ex talk me into having the baby and keeping her (I wanted to put her up for adoption). Nothing changed, he picked up MORE work, more late nights out drinking with friends (including a girlfriend he later left me for), and stuck me at home alone with an infant until he announced he wanted a divorce.

I never wanted kids, and having dealt with that mess, I'd never allow myself to have children I don't 100% want to raise myself just because a partner wants one. I might change my mind down the road (unlikely but you never know) but right now, absolutely no kids here thanks.

It's your body. YOU are the one giving birth to a baby, not him. I think 20 is too young to have a child, especially if your SO is asking you to "give" him a child when you aren't ready. Having a child is a BIG responsibility that both people in the relationship need to be financially, physically, and mentally prepared to handle. I'm 19 and I am no where NEAR close to being ready and neither is my SO lol. You need to tell him that you aren't ready and that you will let him know when you are 😊 best of luck to you!

My situation is totally different. My SO doesn't want anymore children (he has one, and I have two) but I would LOVE to just have ONE more, with him!! So if he said yes, I'd most definitely jump on that! Lol

My father was 36 when I was born. I love having an older dad. I'm glad he wasn't still a kid. My husband will be 28 next month and he is definitely still too young to be a dad.

Don't have a baby until your ready. 26 is definitely not too young to be a dad. But 20 is really young. Follow what you feel is right, it's your body, he can't make you be a parent when you aren't ready.

No. He could go find someone who wanted a baby, if he hypothetically decided he wanted one, because I have zero desire to have kids.

If he shows me its something he really wants and understands the challenges of bringing a baby I think I would. I may not feel like I'm ready to have a baby but if I go along with that I'll probably never have one. I think I could be 35 and still feel like I'm not ready. Having a baby is something you just do. You're never prepared for it until you see the little angels face.
