Blood test?

Question

Has anyone gotten a positive blood test even though all your HPT's were negative?
Went for a blood test today after several negative HPT's, as my period is 3 days late. Can anyone give me hope??

Answer

It's possible HPT are different sensitivities and able to recognize different levels of hcg. I know 2 people who went to dr and didn't know they were pregnant bc all tests were negative and blood tests and US confirmed they were. Weirdly enough one of those was already 15 weeks and it wouldn't show up bc of another medical problem she had that didn't allow it to.
