What do u do when a twelve year old doesn't listen to you about wearing make-up at her age? which I don't approve of it right now especially when she already looks more mature for her age...

I have a daughter that just turned 13 last month.. I completely understand your boat!! I actually signed my daughter up for ipsy.com.. It sends you little bags each month.. It has everything from face wash, to hair products, to lip glosses and makeup brushes.. My daughter isn't allowed to wear make up outside the house, but I let her be creative and play and she even makes her own make up at home.. It's creative for her. She goes to a catholic school so she can't even wear nail polish.. So for her, she is 13, 5 foot 10, and looks like someone who is 21...

Maybe if she wants to wear make up try and steer her toward more neutral tones and stuff and show her how to apply it properly and how to not over load on it because less is more and how to high light her best features. Try to encourage her to be discrete in her make up if she wants to wear it and don't push back or else she'll push back harder. She's 12 and wants to grow up a little so let her but guide her or else she will push back even harder and not listen at all.

I would allow her to put it on and have a "beauty treatment" what my mom used to say when I was that age. I would do my hair, nails, and makeup then dance around my room with my brush lol Then I would tell her how much acne makeup causes and that boys don't like makeup. She probably just wants to wear it bc her friends are wearing it?
