19 kids and counting? Yay or nay?

When is too many? 19 just for the fame? Would you ever have that many? Inhumane?

Too many or too little really depends on individual. Not up to us to judge. I don't think Jim Bob and Michelle have 19 or more just for the fame. Anybody in the right mind would not bear so many kids, spend so much money, spend so much time & efforts & love to educate the kids just for fame. They really love children and kids are really god-sent.

I doubt they had 19 kids just for the fame. I think they truly believe that it is gods will to give them as many as he chooses. Especially after their last one where Michelle had issues and the baby almost died. They started hat family far before tv ever came to the picture for them.

I don't agree with the way that they parent. From what I've seen, once the newest baby is weaned it's buddied up with an older girl and she basically is responsible for raising it. I don't think that's right, because the older children don't have any say in it, and I feel like if the parents can't be responsible for the kids upbringing then they shouldn't have more children.

Honestly i LOVE one of their daughters who admits she wants a large family like the one she grew up in, except she wants to adopt! I dont agree with having 19 kids. thats excessive. Especially since there are children all over the world with out homes.

I never plan to have more than 2. Going through 2 full pregnancies has been more than enough for me. 19 times.. Never ever.

It was a larger family before TV. Like 16 kids or something. All the kids look well fed, clean clothes, clean house. My older sister cared for me when my parents couldn't and I'm sure there are more families like it. They have there own beliefs, tradition and family rules. I am glad they are sticking to it. Each kid has their own personalities, and interest they pursue. There are way worse people, and worse celebrities for that matter, out there... like Justin Bieber.
