First appt?

I got my BFP close to almost 10 days ago.... My first appointment isn't until the end of April. The wait is brutal!!  My obgyn waits until you are 8-10 weeks for first appt and ultrasound. This is my first.

I see that some ladies have appts a few days after having a positive test.

Anyone else playing the waiting game?

I just found out on the 14th of March and won't go until April 15th. It is kind of killer waiting, but I'm not worried about it. Although I am having some light cramps. Is that common,

I got an ultrasound and a lot of blood work done the same day I found out. & I saw my OB the week after that. The only reason is because I was sent to the hospital from urgent care due to sharp pelvic pains and cramping. I was high risk in the first two-three months of my pregnancy so I was seen frequently and received many ultrasounds. It's normal for you to have to wait a while unless you're having complications. My friend has a normal pregnancy and she had to wait about 4 weeks to see an OB when she first found out. So don't worry just be patient:)

I have to wait, too. I found out February 26th and my first OB appt isn't until April 3rd. I had an ER visit a week and a half ago tho that "checked on everything" tho.

I had to wait until 8 weeks.  Doctor wouldn't even confirm the pregnancy until then,  they told me that hpt are just as good as what they use, so if I got a positive that was good enough for them.  They did do a test and a dating ultrasound at 8 weeks, but didn't give us fetal heart rate or do any quantitative tests.  Those will happen at 10 weeks.

I waited just over 3 weeks! It was torture!

I got my BFP on March 3 and won't go in for my first appointment until March 30. I will be 8w3d! I am getting very anxious while waiting!
