Blood sugar level?

What is the normal range for your blood sugar? My doctor called and told me my blood sugar is low in the low 40s but they don't want to put me on medicine yet they want to see if I can bring it up on my own. I'm 31 weeks and I'm really hoping this doesn't effect my baby!

My dads diabetic and he's told that anything around 5 is perfect for a normal person (or 50....were in the UK so must use different units). If you have diabetes or low sugar problems they prefer it to stay between 5-8 so it can't drop too low.

Mine was 46 I got told I'm pre diabetic (42-48)naturally I'm stoked lady on ph thought I was weird for gettin excited but I'm actually a type one and last reading was 98 and one before that 140 but I think we are on different measurements as someone said 70 is normal and over here If I had that reading they would ship me off to hospital till it came down

It depends on if this level is fasting? If it is, it should be between 70-100.
