Never getting married again???

Met this guy 7 years ago and we have sex off and on. He says that he will never get married again and doesn't want a relationship. Am I just kidding myself that he will change his mind?  We are good friends and I really enjoy being around him, just want more!

He's told you what he wants (and doesn't want). Expecting him to change isn't really fair. He's expressed himself honestly, now you have to decide if his plans coincide with yours. If you want something more, its probably best to assume you aren't going to get it from him. Unfortunately. It might be time to consider what you want and start looking for that.

I would tell him if I was you that you like being around him, but want more! And if he can't give you that, that it will be time for you to move on, because you want and deserve more then on and off sex with a friend.  7 years is long enough to get over a bad relation, he is an aldult no? If he says he doesn't want to: Move on, but really move on. Big chance he will be knocking on your door after a while. In the mean time start looking for the guy, who wants to give more! Goid luck, its more easy said then done!

Personally, I would move on.

However, I had a cousin in a similar situation. She had a boyfriend for a long time who didn't want to remarry after an ugly divorce. She eventually gave him an ultimatum after he told our family he was adamant about not marrying her. Now they're married and she's snottier than ever.

I have 2 other cousins whose boyfriends don't want to propose any time soon. So they're patiently waiting for the big question. The boyfriends keep making excuses to postpone asking. I think both girls could do better and be happier else where.
