My almost 3 year old son woke up today with a small fever, around 100.01 f. We're in the process of potty training him (taking a pretty relaxed approach, not pressuring him) and he's doing great. He wears a pull up to bed still but usually goes right away in the morning or wakes up with a soaking pull up. Well this morning he was VERY upset because he didn't feel good so we cuddled on the couch and he didn't want to go on his potty so I didn't force it. I just figured he would either suggest it himself or fill his pull up. Well, it's 1:00pm and he STILL has not urinated! The last time he went was 7:00pm last night. He had a full 8oz glass of water before bed, and has drank 4 8oz glasses of milk so far today. So it's not that he's not drinking...there is just absolutely no output! This is very VERY unusual for him and the fact that it is accompanied by a fever and that he is very lethargic concerns me. Does anyone have any suggestions or had children with something similar? He doesn't seem to be in any pain but it's just so strange to me that he hasn't gone in so long.
