8 DPO to early to test?

I think I ovulated last Thursday based on my CM. The days following my boobs were very sensitive. Now for the past couple of days I've been having period like cramps just not near as bad as period cramps. My period is due March 28. When should I test? I'm really hoping for a BFP for my birthday :)
