What's worse: Infertility or secondary infertility?

They can't possibly be comparable. Neither one should be minimized by speaking from experience if we can beat infertility, I can't imagine battling secondary infertiltiy...doing this all over again. No way.

Let me say this:

I was told that I was infertile due to a bad case of PCOS when I was 18 and that I would never have kids. I cried for days and days (even though I wasn't trying at that point, it was still devastating). Well, when I got with my husband, we said come what may. But still we tried. BFN's for 15 months before I said I wasn't going to take anymore tests. I was so sad, felt so useless as a woman. And then one day, I was walking in the store and saw onesies. I bawled. I was so distraught. I told my husband how badly I wanted a child of my own and how sorry I was that I couldn't provide him with one. (I've known him since we were 12, so I knew he wanted kids.) A week after I cried in the store because of the onesies, I went to the hospital because of a terrible pain in my side. I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant. We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter.
Now, we're trying for baby #2. We had been trying for 3 months naturally. I figured, "Hey, we conceived last time naturally." But after 3 months (I know, not long) something told me to visit the doctor. I found out that I'm infertile, no ovulation. And where I live, my doctors won't give Clomid until you have every infertility test, along with your husband, to rule out everything (even though they know what the problem is). I can't afford all that. Even on two good salaries, I can't. Let me say that even though I have my gorgeous daughter, it's no easier this time being told that I'm infertile and that it really probably won't happen at all for me this time. You can't compare the two. Each is devastating. I want baby number 2 just as bad as I wanted baby number 1. It's awful either way.

It took me over 3 yrs ttc with my ex husband no bfp after dating my current dh for 3 yrs I got my bfp right after stopping bc. Now we have been ttc number 2 for over 2 yrs and its so much worst because I have gotten pregnant once and feel like it should happen naturally. Unfortunately I have had my 4 lap procedure over a yr afo and no bfp yet. First 3 laps were before ds. Infertility in general sucks but knowing I can get pregnant and just dont sucks 2 times as much.
