Unusual bleeding

I'm 4 days into my period and I'm having a lot of heavy bleeding, flooding and passing big clots and bright red blood. It's not unusual for me to have heavy bleeding, but this far in, it's usually starting to be a darker shade and not as many clots. This is different to anything I've had previously. Anyone experience anything similar
