Why doesn't he reply to my text?

I recently started dating this guy. And it's been wonderful every time and he's so sweet when we meet irl. But it always takes a few hours, sometimes a couple of days, for him to reply to my texts. It bothers me so much, I get mixed feelings from him. He seem to like me when we meet but then he acts like he want to get rid of me.
And I'm starting to fall for this guy. I've been texting 4 texts now in a week with no reply, I think I'm going mad. Should I call him? Even if this ends now I'd like to know what the hell happend. And why he's playing with my feelings. What do you think I should do? And what do I do to get my mind on other thoughts?

Let him text you. And as much as it bothers you.. Don't text him! If he's truly interested, he'll get in contact with you

I think you should back off and let him chase you. You're just acting way too keen. Maybe he isn't the texting type and it's a bit full on for him. Don't hold yourself back by waiting on him.

This usally is a situation where he has another girl but i might be wrong you shoukd definatly call him and ask him whats going on without sounding to needy or just wait it out til he finally text you and confront him

What the others said. Maybe he feels you're too clingy, or maybe he has a girl friend. I would add maybe he is busy wirh school or work (whatever his situation is), or maybe he is playing the stupid waiting game.

I would ask if I bothered him and also say I will stop texting because he seems uninterested,  but that it was nice meeting him. that would be a last text I would feel comfortable sending. Hopefully he responds and is honest. Good luck!

Hmmm...maybe play hard to get and see what happens? Men aren't like women...they may get so caught up in other things they don't text back right away. A few hours is understandable...days...well...I don't know. He could at least let you know he's busy. He may view you as needy, depending on how many times a day you text. I would quit texting him and see what happens. If he misses you, he will initiate the texting. If not, there's your answer.
