Diclegis seems to be the new fad prescription for new moms experiencing morning sickness during the first trimester. After doing some research I am noticing mixed reviews and some history behind the drug itself. Will you be taking this drug?

I used diclegis for the first few weeks that my m/s was severe (throwing up 5-15 times a day) and it worked but recently stopped working. Now I am on Zofran. If you need it take it. Don't listen to those that don't have it very severely and tell you to suck it up. There is no sucking it up when you are throwing up constantly, can't eat or drink, and are so weak you pass out on the bathroom floor.

I am actually on diclegis...my ms was so bad I tried everything else I could before resorting to prescriptions! I asked my dr about it because I had done some research as well. She said its FDA approved and while the was a lawsuit on it in the 80's it was discovered that the "evidence" had been falsified. This drug goes by other names in Canada and Europe and they have had it around since the 50's. I felt like it was better choice for me to take the medication and stop the nausea and vomiting and be able to actually eat.

I took it every night for about two weeks and noticed it made me feel so much better. Then I got the flu and threw it back up one night and it was so disgusting that I can't bring myself to take it anymore, so I'm back to just dealing with my morning sickness

I tried diclegis and it does not work for me. I will stick with my unisom and b6 2-3 times a day. Yes it the same main drugs but the diclegis just doesn't do the same thing. I used the unisom and b6 with my last pregnancy and its the only way I survived.

This medication works great for me! I take 2 every night and it last me until the next night. I love it!

I took it for about 2 weeks and it has now stopped working for me...phenergan is also no longer working so I'm just having to deal with it 😔
