What would you do?

So I went to the doctors today since it's been 4 days of my back hurting. She says 2 more days off then not lifting or pushing 20 + pounds. My manger says that she's not sure if I can return due to the limited things I'll be able to do. Which I can do plenty!!!!!!!!! I'm so mad and have no clue what to do. I feel guilty for being pregnant.

That's against the law. They HAVE to accommodate you when your pregnant and if they fire you they can get in serious trouble.

Your workplace can't do that! I'm 18 weeks currently and they've altered my work but I still work just less physical. Talk to your HR manager. That is wrong and illegal.

I would seek advice from the correct source. In Australia it's the fair work ombudsman. That sounds prejudism which is illegal in America as well right?

If you can't work don't strain yourself trying to make it work. I know what you mean and it sucks feeling like you have a handicap or something when pregnant, but if your doc doesn't want you lifting too much then your boss doesn't want to be responsible for any damage that may cause you if you try. You may have to take a break from work for a little bit or take yourself out of work until you have the baby to be safe. I'm sure you make more at work than you would at home on disability though, so I would say talk to your boss and work out some Compromises if possible so you can continue
