Am I being too emotional and over reacting?

Question

I came home from work and my bf bought a whole new outfit, new shoes  and says he's going out with his friends tonight, they both have girlfriends, the one doesn't care if he has a gf he will cheat on her but the other is in a serious relationship. Well I'm really upset. It's 10:30 they haven't left yet and he says he doesn't know where they are going. I'm 8 months pregnant and really upset about this. I mean he never goes out with his friends but I guess it's the way he's handling it like idk. I'm really upset tho.

Thanks guys for being there for me, I don't know I trust him and I know he loves me but it's still like you might talk to a girl whose prettier then me or idk. I hate thinking that way but I can't help it. But it's a new day and being upset about it still won't help me or the baby and there's nothing I can do about it anyway now so better to just let it go. Thanks!

I am not sure why you are upset, but yes I think it is probably hormones.  If this is the first time in a long time he has went out with his friends, and unless you two had made other plans their is probably no harm in him going out tonight.  Just because he has a friend who will cheat does not mean he is going to cheat.  Try and relax, when you are pregnant fears of your SO leaving you and cheating on you are pretty common.

I don't think you're over reacting. In my opinion, if I was 8 months preg, my husband wouldn't be going out anywhere. He knocked me up, he has to stay home with me. I may be one in a few who think like this but that's my opinion and my relationship. Talk to him. Let him know you don't like it and if he really wants to be with you then he will respect your wants

That's not cool... my SO knows I'm a stickler about planning and to let me know as far as possible in advance about things... and he didn't even bother to invite you?? He obviously had plenty of time to plan this outing if he went shopping... Soooo yeah, no reason he should have surprise sprung this on you and still has no clue where he's going... 😤

What kind of agreement do you two have about how you make decisions about going out with friends?  Does one person have to check in the the other?  Do you get to make whatever plans you want?

If you don't have an agreement about how to handle those situations then you really need one.

If he never goes out, don't you think one night won't hurt? After so long of work, home, work, home it can take its toll. Let's face it neither one of you will get to do much the first few months after you have your child. Enjoy it while you can.

Going away for a night April 4 and it's stressing me cause he'll be hours away, at hockey game and bar, and I fully trust him I just know that if I go into labour he'll have to sober up before can drive. Unfortunately I bought the tickets for him for Xmas, and was gonna go with him, but I've had a lot of issues and am scared to be away from doctor now

It's funny cause I posted something similar to this and I'm close to nine months pregnant an got so much hate for being upset that my husband went out. You have every right to be upset. In my opinion he should be home with you at night especially so far along in your pregnancy. Anything could happen an he's out drinking an having a good time with his friends. It's kinda selfish. But try not to get too mad just try an talk it out. Explain to him how you feel about him going out so late an that you really don't wanna be home alone at 8 months pregnant. Communication is key. And it's true even if his friend is a cheater doesn't mean he will but I completely understand why it would concern you. No matter how old and how someone may be their friends can pose an influence. Hopefully your bf is smarter than that. Good luck Hun
