Will Marriage help or harm a young couple financially? We want to get married at the courthouse but can't figure out how it will affect our taxes and insurance. We don't have any children and don't have any money to spare since we both lost our jobs the same week. He had just found a job and I'm finishing up my Gen eds in college. Can someone explain how it changes your taxes and other finances please?
