Would birth control help regulate my cycles if i took it for a month then quit it? I have extremely irregular cycles. Right now im on cycle day 87. And have only had 4 periods in a. Year. Or if i took it and quit a week before ovulation. Then took it for a week then take the inactive ones for a week to have my period

My OB said  no way. Provera for 10 days reset my long cycles.

I would consult your doctor for sure.  I also have taken Royal Jelly to regulate my cycles(do not take if you're allergic to bees!) and it worked great for me! Shortened my cycle 11 days! It was 38-41, the last two have been 27. I'm taking maca root this cycle and it seems to help too! I'm on CD 9 now, no ovulation yet but cervix, cm, and temp patterns would indicate ovulation is pending very soon,  I'm thinking CD 11. My friend got pregnant on Maca her first cycle! I have another friend who took it first time this cycle and we're waiting to hear but she's got a lot of signs pointing to yes! I'm really loving Maca this cycle!

See the doctor. Plus, going off bc for your ovulation week won't help you to ovulate; it will most likely cause you to start your period that week.

Personally I would try something more natural to regulate my cycle! I'm taking a supplement called Fertilaid because my periods have been all over the place since I came off the pill (26, 38 then 50 day cycles). This month I ovulated on CD22 so hopefully that means this cycle will be 38 days again. I started the Fertilaid this cycle, as I've read a lot of success stories of it regulating cycles. Good luck!

You should see your dr. They can prescribe something (usually progesterone) to help jump start your period and make a plan to help regulate your periods (or to help you concieve if that is your goal).
It is very important to try to pinpoint any problems you may be facing and a dr can help you with that.
