Our precious little girl surprised us by coming almost 3 weeks early. Her baby shower was supposed to be at 10am on Saturday but we missed it because she decided to be born instead. I started having contractions at 9pm friday night.  I took a bath and tried to get some sleep. I decided to go to the hospital at 5am expecting to be sent home. They admitted me and I decided to stay and call off the baby shower since the contractions were pretty intense. I was seriously considering going home and making an appearance at the shower but I'm glad I didn't because things progressed really quickly and our beautiful baby girl came out at 11:41am. 7lbs 2oz. I wasn't sure before the birth if I wanted an epidural. I ended up getting one and it helped me relax and let my body do its work. It ended up being a good choice for me. Both baby and I are doing well.
