Don't know what day to pick as the first day of AF???

Question

So I am having some cramps right now and I just went to the bathroom and had some pink when I wiped. I inserted a tampon just in case I get it at night but if I do idk which day to pick and start counting as my first day? Should I pick tomorrow since today is basically over???

My fertility doctor says day one is first day of full flow, spotting does not count.

First day a normal flow is what I choose. I have read that the spotting before can be left overs from previous period. So I chart the first day of flow not spotting. Everyone's different though of course
