Insurance coverages?

Our insurance company keeps giving us different answers and I started wondering...if you've been on Clomid did your insurance cover it? What types of fertility treatments have you had covered, if any?

I just checked into getting an individual BCBS plan and everything for infertility is covered. It's 80/20 and 3000 out of pocket. We live in IL so we were able to get this coverage which has been amazing because my husband and I's work insurance doesn't cover any infertility! Might be worth checking into. There are many states that madate it to be covered and ind. BCBS plans will in those states.

Most of my Clomid and letrozole was covered with insurance. Paid around $7-12 each for them. IUIs, bloodwork in fertility office, SA, and procedures to check to see if tubes were open weren't covered at all.

The insurance i had with my previous job covered chlomid but my current employer does not. It also depends on the way drs code it also. Mine tries to code it as irregular periods not as fertility. He says some insurance companies take it better that way. Even without insurance my pills only run about $40. Im on 100mg currently. Good luck!
