When should I start planning the baby shower?

I am currently 12w 5d and we are planning on having it when I'm 28w that way I still have plenty of time to get what I still need after the shower and I will still have my energy to enjoy the shower. I've never planned a shower and don't really know how long it takes. When would you ladies suggest to start? We don't know the gender yet but hopefully soon ♡

I have no intention of planning a baby shower. I don't want one, but my husband wants me to have one because it's apparently important to his mother. So, if they want me to have one so badly, they can do all the planning and I'll show up.

I had 2 and they were about a month and half before my due date. And do a registry and put your big stuff on like car seat, stroller and all that other big stuff. I was able to get all that as gifts

I just planned a baby shower last year and its a lot of work! But I have a little OCD so that didn't help. But with mine my mom and SIL's are planning it. I just kinda gave my mom an idea of what I was thinking then letting them to the rest. Probably won't have the shower tell late July early August. But th sooner it get planned you or whoever can start buying stuff for it a little at a time.

My mother has been planning mine since she found out I am pregnant haha. My SIL also decided she wanted to throw me one, even though I told her I really only needed one shower. Anyhow, they will be a week apart and about a month before I am due. Cutting it close, but I have family that will be in town then and everyone is busy in the summer :/
