Is it possible to stay together with a high school boyfriend?

I see myself spending the rest of my life with my current boyfriend, but I'm only 18. I know I sound cliché and stupid, but our colleges are only an hour apart. I would really appreciate any insight on this because it's hard to look at the bigger picture when I'm so emotionally involved in the situation.
