So I am currently 29+2 weeks pregnant and I did the 3hr glucose test 6 weeks ago and was told that if I hear nothing then I'm good. Well I go to the doctor yesterday for the 1st time since the glucose test and GUESS WHAT ?!? Not okay!!! I should have been called 6 WEEKS ago but they "forgot" WTF. I am livid with the OB office and we are station in a place where it is the only one. I am the office manager at a general practice in the same town and everyone at the office knows that I am so I asked to speak to their office manager and was told "she didn't have time to speak with me" gestational daibetes can cause lots of issues and now they have waited to tell me at almost 30 weeks and I have Tricare so everything has to have a referral so I couldn't even get my RX because they needed a referral to approve it!!!! I had to pay cash for everything including the medication bc I didn't want to wait the 5 days for approval from tricare . I just needed to rant about that bc I'm so upset and my husband doesn't understand that I'm not upset about having diabetes I'm upset that they could have possible be me and our child in danger bc they didn't notify me.
