Has anyone had a hysterosalpingogram ?

Getting this done Monday has anyone had one and was it ok ? Of any use ?

I had one and they found a blocked tube, which got me directed to a specialist that is finally getting the ball rolling on figuring out what has taken us 18 months so far, and caused 2 miscarriages. We are more hopeful than ever that finding that blocked tube will be what gets us our rainbow baby!

I had one last year it was extremely uncomfortable and painful but I also had a semi blocked tube which can cause it to hurt more. Almost right after this test I got pregnant they said it can happen since it pushes the dye through your tubes. Unfortunately, my pregnancy ended in a m/c but I'm still hopefull that I'll be able to get pregnant again. Best of luck!

I had one in February and wasn't too bad. I think it is different for everyone. My SIL had a blocked tube and said that it caused hers to be painfull. I tried to just relax and act like it was a regular pap and it turned out fine. Good luck!

I had one last week.  It was painless and turned out well for me.  All they saw was a fibroid we knew about.  I'm sure things will go well for you.

I am supposed to go in for an HSG next week.  Does anyone know what the price range is for the test in the US? I've read everything from $100 to $3500.

I had it in Feb and it wasn't bad at all. I was in and out of the clinic in 15 minutes. The test was super quick. It is a little uncomfortable, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I felt a pretty strong cramp when the dye was going in, but it lasted less than a minute. I felt like nothing happened 10 minutes later.

If I get my AF tomorrow then I will be getting mine too end of this week or beg of next! My doctor asked me not to google it or ask too many people as it tend to scare people! She said it might be a little bit more discomfort than our pep test but almost the same experience! She did asked to get some antibiotics and painkillers to avoid infections and discomfort! Please let me know your experience after you had yours!
