Baby dolls?

I was in a child toy shop a couple of months ago and overheard a older lady telling someone who I couldn't see that she thought "baby dolls should of never been invented! It's the reason why there is so many teenagers getting pregnant these days" I was confused at first as I thought baby dolls have been out for years and years.. anywho what do you guys think?

Baby dolls have nothing to do with teen pregnancy. I loved my dolls but I never got pregnant as a teen.

Toy dolls have been around as long as toys themselves. What everyone seems to forget is that until very recently, the human life span was much shorter. If you only expected to live 40 years, then having babies in the teens and very early 20s makes a lot of sense. Our biology is programmed to be more fertile then. Changing social expectations, poor healthcare, and a lack of education are what makes teen pregnancy so problematic. It's definitely not the baby dolls!
