When to stop taking BC?

My fiancé and I are getting married next September (2016) and we would like TTC right around our wedding time. When should I stop taking my BC so I become more regular with my cycle and to prepare my body??

You can stop 12 months before the wedding and then just use condoms(EVERYTIME!) till you want to conceive. That's what I did and got pregnant first month trying.

From personal experience, I'd stop the pill immediately. I've been off of it since March 2014 and now am not ovulating 😔

How long have u been on BC? I would recommend stopping it about 6mts to a yr before ttc. It does take the body a while to remember what to do. (Note it does depend on how long u have been on it and what kind. Also, remember women are different). In the interim use a condom.

I wish I never took the pill. Took it for 12 years. Stopped taking it in December and got pregnant in January, ended (well, currently ending) in a miscarriage 😔 before you TTC I suggest you wait 2-3 cycles once you stop taking them to flush your body of the added hormones. There's no study on this or anything, but it seems  plausible to me that it could cause miscarriages (in my case a blighted ovum) in some women.

I would say January. Or sooner. I went off in October and my periods still suck ( really light and I had mc I think due to light periods). I was on bc for almost 14 years.

The question is do u want to be pregnant for your wedding.?? If not i would stop your bc the day before your wedding. That way you wont be pregnant then and hopefully it will happen soon after for you.  Good luck amd congrats on your wedding.
