How would you want to be remembered?

This is not in any way me being morbid and thinking about my own demise, but I'm curious to see what everyone else has to say. What would you want your memorial service to be like? Would it be very traditional and solemn, or a celebration of life? What would you want to be said? Would you want a very traditional burial, or would you want to donate your body to science or have your ashes compressed into a diamond, or something else completely?

I want my organs donated (if applicable,) and my ashes in a biodegradable urn to nourish a tree as it grows- a living memorial. I would want people to remember that matter doesn't ever die- it is just converted into another form- and so I'm still there. I wouldn't necessarily hope that people were happy, because grief is a complex emotion and no two people manifest it the same way, but I would hope they find closure. I'd want a (secular) service at the spot where my urn was planted, and I'd want for everyone to just pause, reflect, and take life in. No viewing, no service, no pallbearers- just the people who were close to me, trees, and the stars above them.

I always joke with my husband that if I go first he better make me into a diamond and place it in the ring of his next wife ;) lol

On the more realistic side I want to be cremated and to have a celebration of life for family and friends.

I hate funerals, they are always so sad. I want a celebration of life. Since I'll be in heaven I don't want anyone sad. I want a big party at my home. Everyone dressed in yellow (my fav color) eating and drinking and SMILING. I hope to be remembered as someone selfless. Someone who helped others.

Celebrate the life I had. Celebrate the work I've done. Celebrate the family I've helped to build. Celebrate my transition to the next phase of development. I would like a single moment of silence with the power fist raised. Harvest my organs and applicable parts for science, then cremate the rest. If possible, preserve the ashes in a vial or gem for Husband and Children, their choice.

As far as how I want people to remember me, I don't have much control over what they think, so they'll remember me as they will. I'll be happy doing all the good I can do in the world, and letting that speak for itself. Those that matter will never forget, and like all things in the universe, I will exist for-(almost)-ever. That's good enough for me.

I don't want a funeral, I want a party, a live band, lots of dancing and good food. Keep the drunkards overnight, no driving drunk! I'd like whatever organs are of use to be donated, burn the rest and scatter me to the four winds so I can enjoy your cheerios with you in the morning 😉.

I wouldn't want a church service because I don't believe in God so I think that would be hypocritical.  I'd like some kind of service where my fam and friends did eulogies, played my fave music and showed my most funny vids, haven't decided on burial or cremation yet! Then after I would want people to party like mad to celebrate my life, don't want anybody to wear black, that's completely depressing! For me funerals are about celebrating life not mourning death, but if people want to remember me with tears then I'd rather they not remember me at all! So yeah just a massive piss up in my name sounds good

I want the speech and inscription to basically be "aye be yourself and do what makes you happy life is short kiss the girl don't be sad positivity and love woo see you all in the next life"

To be remembered as a good person. When people think of me I hope they smile from the good memories I brought them.
As for arrangements I want to donate my body to a medical school. In high school my anatomy class was able to take a field trip to the South Carolina School of Medicine. While there we were able to learn about a female cadaver the students had just finished examining. It was a unique experience and I'm glad I went. The woman's body was treated with respect. It didn't feel morbid or weird in anyway. I think helping medical students learned about to human body by donating your own is a great thing. 
Afterwards the bodies are cremated and given back to the family. I wanted to be cremated anyway so it's the option that feels right to me.

Stick me in something biodegradable, bury me under a young tree somewhere beautiful, put a bench there, say some nice words, nothing religious... I want some tears too and then play Bob Marley:- Don't Worry, Be Happy ❤️
