Fertility after BC?

Can the birth control hormonal pill lower your fertility, even after you get off of it?

I was on BC for 9 years. Stopped taking it the beginning of February and got pregnant that month. It just depends on your body and hormone levels. It's not the same for everyone.

Definitely depends on the person. I was on the pill for 10 yrs and got preg with my 1st and 2nd with out any problems. After the 2nd I did the IUD for 2.5yrs and now so far 3 months of trying.. Thinned lining still bec of the IUD. Doc told me it could take 6m or more for my body to kick out all the hormones and get back to normal.
