Anovulatory cycle. Anyone experience this?

5 months ttc and only one positive opk.  I am going to the Dr in April to check things out.  Has anybody else had this?  Is clomid  used to simulate ovulation?

Me-me-me! I never ovulated on my own, after stopping the pill. We gave it 5 months, went to my OB she ran a bunch of tests & found out I wasn't ovulating. We tried 50mg of Clomid & it didn't work. We then tried Letrozole & it worked! We got our BFP on our 3rd cycle & I hit 12 weeks on Tuesday! Good luck, hun! It sounds scary, but this problem is easily fixed! (Ps - they will test your hubby, first, to ensure he doesn't have any problems before putting you on medication since you can only be on it for so many cycles.)

As far as opk goes you may just be missing the surge. Do you still get a period? Like a normal 28-30 days cycle?  Most people take a year to conceive even if nothing is wrong. Most drs won't put you on medication til you've been trying for that long or more unless you have other problems.

Yep, most cycles for me....I have PCOS. I needed femara to grow my follicles so I could ovulate.
