So I've had gestational diabetes with all 3 of my kids. The only difference is with this baby (due 4/13), I didn't take any blood sugar test and watch my diet like I was suppose to. With making the transition from being military to civilian life, moving to 2 different states, settling down to find our place, finding a job and landed one immediately, having a 12 yr old and 1 yr old, trying to keep a job so we can pay rent, bills,etc. The last thing I needed to worry about was when finding out I had GD again, going to a whole lotta appts, and taking these sugar tests was the last thing I wanted to do. I'm 37.5 weeks and did an ultrasound and doc found extra fluids cause by GD. I got the third degree from the OB and so now I find myself stepping on that gas peddle at 100 mph trying to rectify this and take care of me and my baby at the same time. My job won't give me FMLA cause I'm not qualified so now I need to resign. Whatever, I'm not taking that chance to have a baby that is stillbirth!!! Moral of the story....
