Clothe Diapers?

I'm debating whether or not to do clothe diapers. Has anyone had any experience or know of anyone whose tried it? I need some feedback and help on this 😕

My mom used cloth diapers and hated them. There is the cost issue, but if you have a decent baby shower turned out you can get a nice head start. If you think about it you also use more laundry detergent, and have a higher water bill using cloth diapers as well unless you wash them in the sink. Which is time for money too. Commercial diapers were invented as a convienence, its time >money. Leaks happen quite often with cloth, however they can happen with commerical diapers also. In other countries many parents use no diapers or use them as backup. They look for visual cues and take their baby to a toilet (or bush) to relieve themselves. It is another option!! My brothers gf is using cloth diapers and she loves them. Saves her a lot of money.

It takes 1 diaper 500 years to
Break down in a landfill. 
Buying $800 worth of cloth diapers (not all at 1 time) can save you THOUSANDS  of dollars over the next few years.

do some googling on the types they offer, I've started making my own too (I'm a sewer) 
Check out kijiji or Craigslist, sometimes people sell huge bundles that they no longer need for a fraction of the cost ;)

I love love love cloth diaper! I got them when my son broke out in hives from something in huggies. And honestly the cloth one look and feel so much more comfortable! 
The only down side is more laundry lol
