Oliver's birth story
I woke up around 5 in the morning on the 21st because I needed to pee and when I stood up I felt a crazy amount of pressure on my pelvis. I peed and felt a little relief and when I wiped I had a little. Shortly after the contractions started and I lost my bloody show. The contractions were irregular all day until 9pm and were about 3-5 minutes apart. They were so bad I couldn't walk or talk. I went to the hospital and was only 2cm dilated. I got a pain pill and was sent home. The second we left the hospital my contractions got a million times stronger. When we got home I was in so much pain I couldn't handle it so about two hours later we were back at the hospital. At that point I was about 4cm dilated and they decided to just keep me. I was admitted around 3am and gave in to the epidural around noon. At around 3pm my doctor came in to check how dilated I was and she could already feel and see the head (my husband saw this and just about everything else lol). I did about 2 practice pushes before she decided I was ready to actually push and about 15 minutes later I was holding my baby boy. Oliver was born on March 22nd at 3:31pm and weighed 7lbs 6 oz.
