Repeating yourself

Do you like repeating yourself? Meaning when speaking to someone and they sit there and give you a blank stare, then reply with 'huh?'. This crap drives me nuts. My husband does this. If you reply back with 'I'm sorry, I didn't hear/understand you' then I don't want to rip your face off, and I will gladly repeat myself. Sorry, my husband has been driving me nuts with the selective hearing crap. He refuses to listen to me most times, but he can sure hear his phone vibrating on a couch in the next room. Out of the many things I hate in life, repeating myself is one. Please tell me I am not the only crazy person.
