What is your experience?

How accurate is the sonos guesstimate on baby's weight? Are they usually way off? Thanks for letting me know your thoughts and experiences.

They say 1-2lbs either way they can be off. Well that is what my Drs have told me

My last pregnancy, 12 years ago, I had an ultrasound a couple days before I was induced & was told my baby was a little over 8lbs....two days later when I had him he was 9lbs 9oz!  They were a tad bit off lol

My first was always measuring right with my due date and was born at 37 wks 6lbs 13.2 oz. Doc said he could have been a 9lb baby at 40wks. So I'm worried about this little guy, he is measuring a little big for his weeks but no concerns. We will just have to wait and see.

With my first baby which always measured exact with my EDD, at my last ultrasound at 38w2d the tech estimated she weighed 6.4lbs and said baby would probably gain a half an ounce per day putting her at 6.11 lbs on my due date. She was born one day past my due date weighing 6.10 lbs so they were dead on for me. This baby, we shall see! He's measured 2-3 weeks ahead since 20 weeks!

Well I'm pregnant with my second now (29+4weeks boy) so idk about this one yet. But my first i had an ultrasound at 39 weeks said my baby girl weighed over 9lbs. So my doctor induced me. My baby girl came out 7lbs 4oz 19 inches long. She had a big head but not abnormally large. So i think my doctor waited to long to do another ultrasound. (Had one at 8weeks 20weeks and 39 weeks) she was so squished at my 39 week one. My friends ultrasounds was always pretty accurate.
