For all the homemakers (current and former): Do you ever feel like you have to justify the importance of your role as a full-time wife and mother, for fear of being looked down upon by others?

I have 6 kids ranging from 15 to 6 months. So no, I do not care about other people's opinions. My house does not stay perfectly clean all the time, but 2 to 3 loads of laundry get done per day, all the dishes stay washed, and I pick up constantly. I feel like any woman who can afford to be home with their kids and can still keep the majority if their sanity should be able to stay home and be a homemaker without having to worry about being judged for it.

I am a SAHM. I do feel like I am often expected to justify my decision to be home full time, or to prove that I "pull my weight". Honestly, I'm doing what's best for my family, and I don't really care what anyone thinks about it.

So many people seem to have the stupid 'so you sit at home and do nothing?' Assumption. It is so maddening. I can see that if I ever become a mom I will be dealing with that.

I am a full-time wife and mother and I am a full-time student when I graduate this fall I hope to be a stay at home mom for a few more years until the kids are old enough and I will find a job, but for now I am enjoying being a full-time wife and mother. You do not have to explain yourself to anyone except God, there's only one person who can judge us. I get crap all the time because I'm just a stay at home mom and personally I don't give a shit because being a stay-at-home mom and being a full-time wife is amazing!!😍

Last summer I didn't work,I'd just finished qualifying as a teacher and was looking for a job but whilst I was doing that I was just at home whilst my fiancé worked, we didn't have kids (currently pregnant now!) and I loved staying at home. I did absolutely everything and the house was spotless. It didn't bother me what other people said, and tbh it was only really my mum and sister that said stuff. Mainly to try and annoy me haha.

Now both me and my partner are working and the house is no longer as tidy as it was and it drives me mad haha.
