Do I get an early scan after previous mc?

So my gp says I've to wait till 12weeks to get my first scan but due to having a previous miscarrige I would like one earlier. Gp says nothing to worry about and I should wait, should I ask him again ?? I'm 7 weeks 5days today

I agree. Different doctors will handle it different ways. I'd had 2 miscarriages and no doctor would be willing to do early scan because they found it normal. I could see after one, because it's so common, but more than one is no longer that common. I moved to a different city, and when I had my 3rd miscarriage, my doctor went straight to testing to find out what the root cause of them was and when I called to let them know I was pregnant and needing ob care, the set up an appointment at 8 weeks and since the earliest time I'd miscarried was 8 weeks, they set up a scan for 7 weeks to make sure baby was healthy. I've never made it past 10 weeks, and today I'm 18, so I'm thanking God and my doctors every day. I know the pain of loss to well, and I pray this pregnancy works out for you!

I have had 3 miscarriages.  After the second I went in for an early scan (5weeks) and it was a waste of time and money because I could not see anything.  Basically I had to go in 2 weeks later (7 weeks) and then wait 2 weeks again.  Since there is very little the dr can do for MC's a lot will not do early scans.  Blood work will tell you if your HCG is rising, but if it is not there is nothing they can do for that either.  Your best bet is to ask to get on progesterone as it is shown to help in unexplained reoccuring miscarriage.  I know the wait stinks!  Sorry!  Hang in there mama!

I told them I wasn't sure when I got preg lol but I wait until the 8th wk mark so I could see everything! Everything was fine!🙏

Different doctors have different opinions on that sort of thing. I think it also matters how many miscarriages you've had. I had my first scan at 5+4 this time. Maybe if they don't want to give you the early ultrasound they would be willing to do early blood work.
