Mucus in stool?

Recently I've found mucus in my stool. No blood or anything like that, but this has never happened before. Its been since I came back from travelling. Anyone else ever had this? I don't have IBS or anything. Maybe bacterial infection? Any help is appreciated.

Yeah I get this sometimes, apparently it's normal and it's just the intestines cleaning itself out.  Nothing to worry about according to my doc

If you've been traveling, I'd at least call your Dr. and ask.

Sometimes it's normal, if it just started then it could be a symptom of irritable bowel syndrome. If the mucus looks milky, you may have polyps or cysts inside your colon.

Go and see your doc because you were travelling. He has to figure out if it's an infection.
