Finding the sac after misoprostol?

Question

I'm taking misoprostol tomorrow for a missed miscarriage that occurred at 5w5d but I would be 9w. I'm terrified of the pain but my doctor recommended against a d and c because I previously had cervical cancer and a lot of surgeries and it could increase my chances of having an incompetent cervix next time around. I wanted genetic testing done so she told
Me I have to collect the sac at home. Has anyone else done that? How can you tell the sac from a clot? I'm dreading this whole process.

My clots were like jello and the sac was rubbery tissue. When the sac came out I felt it slowly sliding out it was a weird feeling, I didn't feel that with the clots. I definitely could tell the difference! Good luck! Hope this is as fast and painless as possible! Sending prayers!

I also found it helpful yet difficult to look at pictures online. I had no idea two weeks ago what I was looking for. It seemed to happen exactly how everyone describes. I wish you comfort in your trying days ahead.

I'm about to go through the same thing. I am terrified and lonely. We have been trying for 3 years now and this is my first time having to take medicine to end this.

My baby's heart stopped at 7 weeks and 5days I took that medicine and at first it comes on gradually like period cramps I took the pain meds like I was told then went to take another four hours later like it said too... But little did I know was allergic to the pain meds and I thru up the last one I took before it got really into my system... Well sure enough that's when the painful part decided to start... I have bad period cramps so at first that's what it was like for me... My cramps normally bring me to my knees and sometimes feel I could pass out... At the start that's what it was like ... But the contractions grew stronger as they should and honestly all I could do was sit on the toilet and wrap a towel around me cause I was freezing you will eventually feel the need to push it might be a slight need but pressure of pushing makes everything feel better... As soon as most everything passes the pain will  gradually subside.

I think the sac is what I passed today. It was hard and rubbery but dark red like a clot. The placenta was, wow this is TMI but the only way to explain, er, meatier than anything else I passed... I think it was the placenta. It was very different from what I passed today and definitely different from all of the clots. It's a noticeably different feeling from clots too. Like a "what the heck was that!" feeling.... You'll know.

Mine was kinda hanging there when I used the bathroom. I wiped and it was more or less flat and purple. Sorry for your loss
