Timing of feedings

My little one is 7 weeks and is still eating basically every 2 hours. Sometimes she will stretch it to 3, but that's basically it. I have some cracks from early on in our breastfeeding and they're so sore. I was hoping she would start going longer between feedings to give my nipples a break but that hasn't happened yet. Just wondering when that will start to be the norm. Thanks!
