Yes. The family needs something good to look forward to. I just lost my mom last month to cancer, and my most fond memories from my pregnancy are the moments I shared milestones with her before she died. I'm 30 weeks now, and I'm due the day after her birthday. It's such a gift to have something positive like a new life to celebrate in the really tough moments. Many prayers to your grandpa and wishes for a healthy pregnancy!

My husband wanted to tell everyone right away. Found out at 4w2d, told everyone at 4w6d. I was worried about it, mad actually cuz he was so persistent. But at 7w, I'm happy we told everyone. Still nervous, but I'm a pessimist at heart haha. Good luck! Easter is a time of new life and hope. Fitting time!

It's all up to you and what you feel comfortable with. As soon as I found out I told my family. Then when I went back to work I told them as well but only because I had too. I personally like having all the support around me at home and at work so I'm goad I told everyone right away.

I wasn't sure about saying anything to the rest of the family at the meal after the funeral, but one of my aunts guessed I was expecting. I'm so glad I was able to tell my relatives in person because it made them smile despite their grief, especially my grandmother.
