Diagnosed with PCOS today...
After blood work and ultrasound my doctor has decided I have PCOS, on top of having endometriosis for several years. Initially I felt devastated but having talked with my doctor and my husband and devising a plan I feel some new hope! He started me on 500mg of metformin and I am to call him in two weeks if I'm tolerating it well to up the dose, then back to his office in one month. He wants to watch my cycles for a few months and see if we can get them regulated and possibly add clomid if I am not ovulating. He even went as far as to talk about options after all of that and really made me feel like this is possible. I have also, just before learning that I have PCOS, started a journey to lose some extra pounds I seemed to have picked up out of no where and have lost 6 pounds so far. Hopefully this will contribute to a successful pregnancy as well! While I am new to thisPCOS journey, I wanted to share my experience today with anyone else who may be feeling hopeless! Baby dust, prayers, and love to all you other TTCers out there!
